About The Canelé Co:
The Canelé Co is the brainchild of a passionate Bay Area couple who believe that vegetables deserve to be celebrated beyond the salad bowl. Drawing inspiration from local California produce, they are committed to pushing the boundaries of traditional vegetable-forward cuisine through creativity and innovation.
At the heart of their project is the canelé, a classic French pastry that is as unique as it is delicious. Known for its rich, custardy interior and dark, caramelized crust, the canelé is a small yet indulgent treat that balances contrasting textures and flavors. Traditionally flavored with vanilla and rum, The Canelé Co brings California freshness to this coveted French pastry. Some of their signature flavors include ube, red bell pepper, and sweet corn from popups at Garden Creamery, The Caffé by Mr. Espresso, and Sobre Mesa.
Beyond pastries, The Canelé Co is also passionate about celebrating vegetables through chef-driven tasting menu experiences. Led by The Canelé Co cofounder and Michelin-trained-chef Phil Saneski, these modern California pop-up dinners aim to inspire everyone to enjoy the delicious potential of vegetables.
