🌟 Seniors Chair Yoga – Northern Beaches Seniors Program 🌟

Move gently, improve your wellbeing, and connect with others in our Seniors Chair Yoga program designed for those 55+ who prefer to practice yoga from a chair.

Chair Yoga is perfect if you have issues with knees, hips, or back, balance concerns, vertigo, or blood pressure challenges. You’ll enjoy all the important elements of yoga – mindful movement, stretching, joint mobility, breathwork, and relaxation – safely from your chair, at your own pace. If you find getting up and down off the ground a challenge, then chair yoga is a great alternative.

💛 Accessible for You: This class is designed to cater to your individual needs, with modifications offered as needed. We’re not trying to break world records – it’s about moving mindfully, building confidence, and having some fun.

🧘‍♀️ When: Mondays, starting 17th November for 5 weeks. Last session is Monday 15th December. When registering you will be able to select which sessions you are able to attend if you have other commitments within the 5 week period.

Cost = $10 per session (cash or card on the day). Pay as you go.
🕤 Time: 10:45am – 11:30am (arrive at 10:30 am on Week 1 for meet & greet, needs discussion, and paperwork)
📍 Where: Northern Beaches Community Hall, 24 Wallace Street, Bucasia

☕ Before each class, enjoy tea, coffee, and a light morning tea – a wonderful chance to connect with fellow seniors (10:25am - 10:45am)

💛 Please note: For seniors who are more mobile and able to move comfortably on the floor, we also offer Seniors Yoga, which focuses on building flexibility, balance, and strength through gentle floor-based exercises.

👜 What to Bring:
-Water bottle
-Towel
(Yoga mat optional)

👕 What to Wear:
-Comfortable clothing suitable for gentle movement while seated

💡 This is a 5-week program designed to give you the full experience and benefits of gentle yoga.
