September Meditation + Self-Compassion & Care Talk
Come along to our free monthly meditation class, which is held on the last Sunday of each month from 10am - 11.30am.
This Sunday, 24th September the meditation will be guided by Rachel O'Rourke, who has over 15 years of experience in teaching meditation and Buddhist study.
Following the guided meditation, Rachel will give a talk on 5 Great Tips for Self-Compassion & Care: How to Really Take Care of Yourself. She will draw on the Buddhist concept of loving-kindness and compassion for all sentient beings, which includes ourselves too! She will cover self-forgiveness, daily acts of kindness we can give ourself, and more!
The meditation is suitable for beginners, and also for experienced meditators who wish to enhance their practice. You are welcome to sit on a cushion or chair.
The entry is free, but donations are welcome to help us continue to offer classes and workshops, and periodically invite Tibetan Buddhist teachers to give teachings. The suggested donation for a session is $15.
You are welcome to stay afterwards for a cuppa and chat, and if you can, please bring along something to share for morning tea. We look forward to seeing you there!
