Seuga Child Safety Workshop for Men #3
Event description
Have you ever thought of the harm that could affect your child from sexualised, or sexual violence? Aviva is hosting a series of workshops within the Christchurch Pasifika Community to help shape a safe future for our children.
Let’s talk as parents. Let’s have a conversation as a family.
These workshops are open to anyone in and/or connected with the Pasifika community.
Points of Talanoa in these workshops:
- Appropriate & acceptable language for talanoa.
- What is sexualised & sexual violence?
- Barriers to disclosure.
- Responding to disclosure.
- Creating an agreed upon, healthy and safe pathway for support
Discussion will take place predominantly in English and Samoan. Workshop discussions are meant to start a conversation and to raise awareness, but may be used to help guide safety measures, prevention, policy, support, and resources for Pasifika children affected by sexual violence.
