In this textile repair taster session, learn how to use patches to personalise, repair and un-brand your clothes. 

The number one way we can increase the sustainability of our wardrobes is to extend the use of the clothes we already own. Learning the small set of skills required to sew fabric patches unlocks loads of possibilities for creative and visible mending. It also helps to solve the problem of what to do with the damaged things we can’t donate to a swap. 

Mender Rachel Power (@mend.head) will guide you through designing and sewing a patch, share inspo and offer her tips for transforming stained, torn or boring clothes into faves. You’ll choose materials from a rainbow of vintage and contemporary salvaged fabrics, trims and threads. And you’ll take home a mini sewing kit, so you can get to work patching everything!
