Sexual Assistive Technology

Sexual Assistive Technology (SAT) are tools or devices that help someone experience touch, intimacy, or sexual pleasure.

This workshop provides an in-depth exploration of Sexual Assistive Technology (SAT), including what it is, why it matters, and key considerations when supporting someone to access SAT in a person-centred, rights-based, and informed way.

Topics we cover:

• What Sexual Assistive Technology (SAT) is

• Why SAT matters

• Considerations for introducing SAT

• How to choose appropriate SAT

• Caring for and maintaining SAT

• Available resources and further supports

• Developing a sexual health care plan

• An opportunity to view SECCA’s range of SAT

This workshop is for health professionals, parents, carers, support workers and anyone supporting people with disability to explore sexuality safely and respectfully. There is a limit of 3 participants from the same organisation.

This is a three hour workshop with coffee/tea provided. Please bring your own water bottle and snacks. We have a fridge and microwave that you’re welcome to use.
