Shared Fields III
Description
Live Sound. Moving Bodies. Shared Fields III (three)
Round III – A late Spring Sunday afternoon in a unified 'Qi' 氣 (energy) field as Thalia facilitates Qi Gong movement to activate body energetics and Mikey Goodfellow responds with healing vibrations in real time.
Each body’s Qi is activated and flows between forms, moving Qi through meridians, then out to individual energy fields assisted by a live music soundscape. The merging of electromagnetic vibrations and body frequencies create a shared field.
Thalia is a Qi Gong Guide and Qi Gong Healer trained by Long White Cloud Qi Gong. This Traditional Chinese Medicine arm with interwoven Daoist and Buddhist concepts and is an intentional movement and breath-based practice. Deeply healing and harmonising, it uses three tools
[1] awareness (mind)
[2] movement (body) and
[3] breath (spirit),
To work with and cultivate ‘Qi’ (energy, prana, life-force). It’s considered energy-work for wellbeing and a healthy way to harmonise your system.
Qi Gong forms can be fast and activating, some gentle stretching, and others are slow-flowing or rhythmic in nature. Mostly a standing practice, no props or particular clothing required, just come as you are. All beginners and Qi Gong curious are welcome.
Mikey Goodfellow is a well seasoned Melbourne based musician, eclectic DJ and fellow yogi and brings a broad range of musical experience and his own signature sound healing frequencies to the practice session.
