Silver Sircus

Silver Sircus join forces with Mia Goodwin (of It's Magnetic) and M.E. Baird for a very special winter triple bill show at It's Still A Secret. Silver Sircus will be in full flight seven-piece configuration reworking songs from their decade-plus repertoire of music making as well as new material. Mia Goodwin with Jamie Trevaskis and Rohan Seekers, will perform a special encore performance of her hypnotic tribute to Julee Cruise/Angelo Badalamenti, recently presented at the sold-out Blacklight Sessions concerts for Anywhere Festival. M.E. Baird will perform his recent atmospheric and evocative songs from his newly-released Spinning Man album, with guest Jamie Trevaskis.

SILVER SIRCUS is an ever-evolving collective led by vocalist/lyricist Lucinda Shaw and drummer/composer James Lees. Since 2008, they have built a highly eclectic world of sound incorporating dark cabaret performance, electronica, post-rock, prog and chamber folk elements. In varying formats, the band has delivered acclaimed performances for arts/music festivals all over Australia and has released several singles/EPs and two albums. They have recently performed for Anywhere Festival and QLD Cabaret Festival and are working on two new recording/composing projects.

MIA GOODWIN is a vocalist, performer and songwriter with much-loved Brisbane band It’s Magnetic. Known for their haunting, sparse and darkly atmospheric beats, guitar/bass textures and Mia’s yearning vocals, the band released their debut album in 2020 and have performed at many Brisbane venues. Mia was also a featured vocalist in Electric Moon’s acclaimed production FIRE WALK WITH US: The Music Of Twin Peaks presented in three sellout Brisbane seasons, at Melbourne Cabaret Festival and around Australia with The Twin Peaks Cast In Conversation Tour.

M.E. BAIRD is a remarkable and somewhat mysterious talent, not only is he a skilled singer, songwriter, and musician, but he also creates artwork as unique and captivating as his music. From his lamenting voice to lush cinematic songs to his intricate thought-provoking artwork, M.E. Baird is an artist in every sense. Over a long creative career, he has written and recorded five critically acclaimed solo albums, and numerous other recordings with bands and musical monikers. He has also contributed songs and composed original soundtracks for film and television projects.
