Single Wednesday evening Project Class

Our project classes are available for up to 6 people with 2 Upcycle Newcastle members support.

These sessions are perfect for those that need help with alterations, mending, or perhaps following a pattern. Maybe some assistance with inserting a zip, changing an op shop find or sprucing up a pair of jeans. Maybe you just want to improve your sewing skills in a supportive and creative environment.

Basic sewing skills are required (you can choose a beginner class if you need to start at the beginning) and participants are able to use all our sewing machines (including heavy duty machines), overlockers, cutting tables, rotary cutters etc. 

Our Workshops: All our classes and workshops are created using circular economy principles. This means we love using recycled and reclaimed fabrics and haberdashery items for our sewing projects, and we encourage you to also. We are deeply passionate about diverting textile waste from landfill and we do this through upcycling.
