SIR is an unapologetically inclusive party and a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community, allies and friends to love themselves and dance the night away to the sounds of many flavours of techno in dark, loud, debaucherous basements.

Finally, is somebody gonna match our freak?
Many of us may be considered freaks in society’s eyes, but at SIR we say it’s time to shed that second skin and reveal your inner freak!

So let’s do it with a BANG and also celebrate 2 years of SIR at the FREAKSHOW!

This is going to be our biggest night ever as we take over the newly opened Double Whammy! Our lovely hosts at Whammy Bar have been busy over winter knocking down walls and building stages and we’re excited to expand into this space to welcome even more of you into our family.

This is going to be our last club event until mid-2025 as we take a little break. So make sure you don’t miss the FREAKSHOW!

Important notes:

The venue capacity is strictly limited and SIR is expected to sell out. There will be NO DOOR SALES on the night. Make sure you grab your ticket online early while they last to avoid disappointment.
We have moved to a new ticketing platform (Humanitix) where all ticketing fees are donated to charity!

Junior M fka False Witness (NYC)

🔥Introducing our International Headliner all the way from the Big Apple, Junior M!🔥

Marco Gomez aka Junior M fka False Witness is a musician, DJ and visual artist. Gomez weaves through various forms of Techno, from aggressive to euphoric, incorporating disparate genres influences meticulously. Their Junior M moniker is informed from their experiences in NYC and Berlin, hybridizing classic House with Italo, Belgian New Beat, and EBM. While both production monikers, Junior M and False Witness, are distinct, their DJ sets express a fluidity between styles that responds & focuses on the audience.

They have performed globally at various institutions including Frieze Art Fair London, Berghain, Hyperreality Festival Vienna, SXSW Austin and Warm Up at MoMA PS1 in New York City. They are currently based in New York City.

We cannot wait to host Marco in Aotearoa for the first time!

LittleWild

We’re stoked to have LittleWild make her SIR debut at FREAKSHOW!

LittleWild might call Tamaki Makaurau home these days, but she’s called a ton of international dance floors home before this. Following decades of soaking up global electronic music culture, LittleWild relishes in serving up high energy tech house and techno selects, while weaving nostalgic acid lines, warm melodies and playful vocals over hard hitting, dark and dirty basslines that bring the bounce. Lighting up dancefloors across some of Aotearoa’s best events, festivals, and clubs including The Naked World Undie Parties, In Kahoots, AUM, Brazen, Ahu, Il Brutto, Ante Social and Ink Bar, her music celebrates diversity and inclusion both behind the decks and on the dancefloor.

Known for crafting cosmically-laced musical journeys to outer dimensions, LittleWild’s sets invite feedback like, “What the fuck were you doing to my mind? I liked it, a lot” and “We danced without stopping for 3 hours and then went straight home to have sex, and that hasn’t happened in 10 years.”

The Ruffians are back

Your original ruffians, MBVR and Late To The Party, are making a return following their solo and B2B jaunts in Sydney and Melbourne, and are eager get you caught up on what they’ve been melting Aussie brains with. 😈

..and we’re making use of that big spacious room at Double Whammy for performers! 💃🕺🪭 - All will be revealed 🔮

Dress Theme: FREAKSHOW

Many of us may be considered freaks in society’s eyes, but at SIR we say it’s time to shed that second skin and reveal your inner freak!

You may want to embrace a new kink or reignite an old one. You may simply want to take your Halloween costume for another spin. Come as a gimp, a dominatrix or a spooky ass eating goblin. Regardless of how you may choose to arrive, you’ll be in for a show (or 2) 🎪

Though many of you will be coming dressed up and embodying your characters please be mindful of those around you.

We strongly encourage you to participate in the fun and come dressed in theme, but if you don’t have anything to wear in theme, please wear pink or black!
Coat check will be available at the venue: 1 item per person (bag or to hang on coat rack). All proceeds going to charity!
You can prepay at the price of $2 when buying your ticket by selecting add-on or pay $5 in cash at the venue

We don’t accept any discrimination or harassment in any form. Homophobia, transphobia, heterophobia, racism, sexism and other forms of discrimination are not tolerated at our events.
Consent is mandatory. People passed out or too affected by alcohol or other substances can’t give consent.
This is not a sexual event.
Watch out for one another and be kind. Treat others with respect and be respected.

The resale of your ticket at a price higher than the official purchase price from the authorised ticket agent Humanitix, or other SIR-authorised sale channels, is grounds for cancellation of your ticket without compensation.
The only valid tickets are those purchased or redeemed/transferred through Humanitix or other SIR-authorised sale channels.
Your photo may be taken by our official photographers and used in future promotional material unless you request otherwise.
Your email address may be collected so that we can contact you directly regarding SIR events. We will not pass your details on to third parties or send you emails not relating to SIR events.
SIR is an 18+ event. Your ID will be checked before entry.
We reserve the right to refuse entry.
