❓ FAQs:

Q: I'm coming alone. Will I be forced to solve the puzzles by myself?
A: Absolutely not! This event is designed to foster teamwork. Solo attendees will be grouped into small, friendly Mission Teams upon arrival. This is the fastest way to make new friends and ensures everyone can have fun!

Q: Do I need to book a team in advance?
A: No, you don't. While you can book tickets with friends, you can easily purchase a single ticket. We handle all the team grouping on the night—just arrive ready to collaborate!

Q: How long does the puzzle element last?
A: The initial puzzle element runs for approximately 80 minutes, beginning at 8pm.

Q: What if I can't arrive at 8pm or I am late?
A: As long as you arrive, that's fine! You can catch up on arrival.

Q: Can I just turn up to listen to the music and not do the Escape Room thing?
A: Absolutely. There's no pressure either way.

Q: Are we really locked in the room?
A: No, of course not! This is a low-tech, non-claustrophobic puzzle experience. You are free to access the bar or exit the venue at any point. The "lock-up" is a fun theatrical device to explain why the music is trapped!

Q: Do I need a sharp mind to solve the puzzles?
A: You need observation and teamwork, not a university degree! The puzzles are designed to be solved by multiple perspectives — you might find the code, while a teammate knows how to apply it. Everyone contributes!

Q: What happens if my team doesn't solve the final puzzle in time?
A: Don't worry! The game element is integrated into the night's scheduling, ensuring the show starts dramatically and on time, even if a few teams are still ciphering!

Q: Is this a sit-down gig or a standing concert?
This is primarily a standing concert environment. However, there are many seats and tables in the venue! Some of the puzzle element will require someone in the team to move around the venue's common areas to search for clues and collaborate with your team.

Q: What is the venue's accessibility like?
A: Please be aware that the Lowlife Basement Bar is located downstairs, and access to the main event space is unfortunately only via a flight of stairs. We sincerely apologise for this access limitation. If you have specific accessibility requirements (such as needing assistance with seating, or have other mobility needs), please contact the venue management directly so they can advise on the best possible accommodation, via email at: rhinoroom@outlook.com (as the venue is managed by the Rhino Room team).

Presented by:

DUEL NATIVE:
the central project of multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer Stephen Choi, featuring violinist and vocalist Erin Tidswell. They arrive in Adelaide fresh off their Sydney launch and Choi’s critically acclaimed work scoring and performing in the theatrical production MEMBER (Melbourne Fringe and San Francisco International Arts Festival).

This show is the Adelaide launch of sophomore EP, ‘AI’ (Always Imperfect) — a unique collection of live studio recordings that blur the lines between folk-rock, dream pop, and British indie. Recorded in one-take sessions in Naarm (Melbourne), this music is a deliberate rejection of sterile perfection. Join the ritual and embrace the messy, beautiful ‘alive-ness’ that machine music simply can't replicate.
---------

SISTER MOONSHINE: a new 5-piece progressive art-rock band based on Kaurna Land, known for live sets that shift from slow-burning introspection to explosive full-band energy. Their music is groove-driven, soulful and reflective – built for listeners who want depth, drama and movement.

After selling out their debut headline show in Port Lincoln this April, Sister Moonshine have been steadily building momentum across Adelaide’s original music scene and are currently recording their debut EP with SA producer and legendary recording artist Dusty Lee Stephensen (Suite 6 Productions), set for release in the new year.

MEENA DE SILVA: a Sri-Lankan Australian pop/R&B artist whose music journey began at four years old. With a classical foundation, and influences like pop icons Rihanna, Beyonce and Ariana Grade, the intimacy of Meena’s live gigs and the haunting sound of her voice will stay with you. Her sometimes joyful, sometimes heartbreaking lyrics will get you moving on your feet, or swaying in your seat.

Meena released her debut album, Call On Me, in 2021, and her current writing partnership with Adelaide-based deep house and indie electronic producer ‘uomo’ has garnered global attention with the release of their tracks ‘Love You Right’ and ‘Desk Job’. Meena was handpicked to be part of the WOMADelaide X Northern Sound System Academy Program in 2024, which culminated in her performance at WOMADelaide 2025. Meena De Silva was recently named a Finalist for the SA Music Awards’ Best Soul/Funk/RnB People’s Choice Award, and was chosen to perform at this year’s OzAsia Festival.
