Performed to sell out audiences at the Moscow Conservatory, the Melbourne Recital Centre, and remixed for performance at the Sydney Festival 2024, Praeludium y Fuga was masterfully recorded LIVE in 2019 at Rachmaninov Hall, and is Skepper’s 4th limited edition 12” art-music release via his label contrapuntal (500 copies, contrapuntal 006). THE VISUAL ARTWORK COLLABORATION: MATTHEW JOHNSON
The artwork design for each of Skepper's albums is a deep collaboration with a fine artist, who engages with sound and music as a critical part of their own creative practice. For this album, Matthew Johnson has responded with a stunning painting reflecting the visual abstraction of the sonic palette of Praeludium y Fuga, and a culmination of a two decade long friendship between the artists. Signed limited edition prints will be available at the event.
