Sketching Sandgate Town Hall with Peter Richards

Sketching Sandgate Town Hall with Peter Richards

Friday 6 November 2026 | 3.30–4.30pm | FREE

Discover Sandgate Town Hall through a different lens in this special sketching session with architect and urban designer Peter Richards.

As the founder of DesignThinkingDrawing, Peter explores the connections between drawing, architecture, observation and the built environment.

Join Peter for a relaxed afternoon of sketching, taking time to look more closely at the architectural details, craftsmanship and character of this much-loved heritage landmark.

Whether you're an experienced sketcher or haven't picked up a pencil in years, everyone is welcome. It's an opportunity to slow down, observe and discover the building from a different perspective.

The session also forms part of a broader Heritage Hands exploration of the makers and traditional tradespeople whose skills have shaped Sandgate Town Hall, with a special display celebrating the craftsmanship behind the building.
