This practical online CPD workshop explores how Skopos Theory can inform the intentional and effective use of Constructed Action in British Sign Language interpreting. With a focus on professional and formal settings, the session offers practical strategies to enhance delivery, clarify purpose and meet audience needs.

Suitable for both trainee and practising interpreters, this 4-hour workshop includes practical examples, guided reflection and opportunities for discussion. Participants will gain adaptable tools and a deeper understanding of how theory can support purposeful, audience-led interpreting practice.
