This workshop will help you assess your paddocks, interpret what the plants are telling you, and explore soil-based strategies for long-term improvement.
Event Description:
Facilitated by Kim Deans from Reinventing Agriculture, this workshop offers practical tools and a fresh approach to managing weeds, focusing on soil health, whether you are tackling thistles, fireweed, or pasture decline.
You will learn about:
Weeds as ecological indicators.
The relationship between soil health and weed presence.
Preventing weed infestations.
Options for managing weeds.
The benefits of a holistic approach to weed management.
Developing a holistic weed plan.
Weed monitoring tips and procedures.
Drawing on leading regenerative principles and research, this evidence-based workshop is designed for small to medium-sized farms and includes a practical paddock weed walk and talk. Similar workshops will be held in Camden (16 Sept), Megalong Valley (17 Sept), and Dooralong (19 Sept).
Additional notes: Morning tea and lunch will be provided. Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing as we will be conducting paddock walks.
