About Joel Abraham

Joel was the Joint-CEO of the Australian Institute of Business between 2005 and 2018. During this time he led the business through the turnaround from a small family business to become the largest MBA provider in Australia and one of the largest private higher education institutions in Australia. Highlights include:

Increased revenues by more than 50X with significant EBITDA levels
produced more than 10,000 MBA graduates
developed and implemented an industry-leading customer acquisition model and value proposition
built a highly successful transnational operation with distribution across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas.
employ 275 full-time staff in Adelaide with several hundred contractors

During 2015, Joel led a sale process that resulted in a leading private equity firm from Sydney, acquiring 50% of AIB. Joel stayed on as Joint-CEO until his exit from the role in February 2018, and he still maintains a Board seat and significant equity position.

Joel is now an active director and investor, working with high growth South Australian SME’s.
