Grand Risings!

Welcome to June's Solace and Ceremony offering "Sacred Rest: Honouring the Yin Within" emphasising the importance of rest and recuperation as a means of achieving balance and wellness in life. Crafted from Shamanic traditions and philosophies that recognise the dual nature of existence, referred to as the yin and yang in Taoist philosophy, in this practice we will be connecting with "yin" to bring into conscious awareness qualities such as receptivity, stillness, and introspection, and how these can nourish and attend to your unique soul needs. This form of shamanic journeying promotes sacred rest as powerful practice for physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being.

The approach

Container: The journey begins with creating a serene environment, building a cocoon with blankets and cushion for you to feel safe and cosy in. The healing space is adorned with natural elements, soft lights, candles, crystals, feathers, and plants to enhance the sacred atmosphere. As your guide, I will open a container with a brief introduction, explaining the purpose of the journey and what to expect. Offering a grounding practice to support you to relax and centre as you prepare for the experience

Intention: You are encouraged to set a personal intention for the journey, focusing on rest, healing, or connecting with inner peace. This helps to align the mind, body, spirit and soul with the purpose of the journey.

Journeying: I will use my drum, meditation bowls, and chimes to create rhythm that supports the shift of brainwaves from the waking state (beta) to a more relaxed state (theta), which is conducive to deep rest and meditation. I will guide through a series of visualisations in peaceful natural settings, such as a forest, a meadow, or by the ocean. As your guide I will support you to immerse yourself in a tranquil environment. The journey may led you to meet a spirit guides, ancestors and animal ally. These guides offer wisdom, comfort, and healing energy. The interaction with these beings is often symbolic, providing insights and messages that resonate with the participant's need for rest and restoration.

Travelling: You will be invited to soften to receive restorative energy. This will be supported through visualisations by releasing, cleansing and rejuvenating energy field, you will be freed up to drop into deep supportive relaxation. Emphasis is placed on releasing tension, stress, and any emotional or spiritual blockages.

Coming back: I will gently guide you back to the present moment. This is done gradually, with grounding techniques such as feeling the connection to the earth and becoming aware of their physical surroundings, no rush you will be encouraged to take your time.

Creative response: You will be guided to create, journal, make a mark to illuminate openings to harmonise with your soul. You will be guided create a soul card in response to your experience of the 'journey' to discover and uncover insights, messages and gifts from your soul. You will be invited to share their experiences, either verbally or through journaling. This helps to integrate the journey and solidify any insights gained. At any point journey the offering, you are welcome to take Solace, and tend to your unique needs as they ebb, and flow. We will bring the offering to a close by sitting in ceremony and expressing gratitude to the spirit guides, Mother Gaia and any other energies, ancestors and deities that may have connected in service to you.

What to bring

Bring a journal, water bottle.

You will be moving, lying down and creating.

Comfortable clothing, your favourite blanket, warm socks will enhance your experience.

Warming nourishment will be available throughout the offering.

Come with an open heart.
