Sound Journey with Gillian
An invitation to travel through sound for wellbeing and relaxation
Sound Journey with Gillian
An hour to lie or sit down, close your eyes and disappear into sound for a while.
What to expect: Gillian will create a live soundscape using Tibetan singing bowls, chimes and other instruments; sometimes soft and spacious, sometimes strange, resonant and unexpected. You don't need to meditate, clear your mind or be good at switching off. You just lie or sit there and listen.
Sound can feel surprisingly physical when you're still. You might notice the vibration of a bowl, sounds appearing from different parts of the room, moments of almost-silence, or find yourself drifting somewhere between awake and asleep. You will be on the ground for this session, yoga mats are provided.
We'll start quietly, travel through sound and eventually find our way back.
What to bring: a blanket and something comfortable for under your head. Wear plenty of warm layers, lying still gets chilly. An eye pillow is lovely if you have one.
