Event description

About the Class

Learn all the steps of sourdough bread baking in 2.5 hour class! This is a hands-on "express" experience where we will pack a 24-hour process into concentrated solution of tips, tricks, knowledge and resources.

We will start with the principles of maintaining a healthy sourdough starter then move to the master recipe for the traditional sourdough loaf. We will also try our hands at mixing the dough. The most exciting part comes after that - shaping techniques and scoring designs and principles. Participants will be given an opportunity to score their own loaf, see it go into the oven, and pack it to take home. We'll taste some bread too!

Class is suitable for the beginners and those who've tried their hands on bread baking before. Let's have fun in the kitchen, learn new techniques and refine our skills. Bring your bread baking questions!

Every participant will get the experience and appreciation of all the stages of bread baking, take home a freshly baked loaf, and tiny formed loaves to bake at home later. You will also receive a DIY package (with notes) to keep building on your newly gained skills independently.
