Event description

About the Class:

Everyone loves Sourdough Loaves but did you know that sourdough starter can be used in many different ways to make delicious meals? One of Sacred Community Nourishments favorite ways to use sourdough starter is to make sourdough pasta. Another bonus is we will use delicious beef from Buffalos own Mighty Meats. Mighty Meats is a nutrient dense ground beef that consist of beef organs (heart, kidney and thyroid).

In this hands on class you will:

  • Learn how to use sourdough starter to make hand made sourdough pasta served with fresh Tomato Ragu

  • Receive the gift of a developed sourdough starter that Ashley has replicated for you from her own

  • Mix a batch of pasta dough to take home with you and practice making pasta at home with your loved ones

  • Be given a detailed recipe booklet with process images, recipes from class, and resources that will support and guide you on your journey with handmade sourdough pasta

  • Joyfully eat a family style meal

  • Leave class feeling connected, creative, prepared, and nourished

I hope to see you there!

About the Instructor:

My name is Ashley Smith and I am a woman who wears many hats! I am a mamma, healing artist, health enthusiast, homesteader, mentor, and a self taught cook who loves to collaborate and share with others what I learn and practice. I have created Sacred Community Nourishment because I believe food is a sacred bridge to ourselves, each other, and the earth. Cooking, our relationship to food, and the communities we break bread with are deeply sacred. How I interact with food in my daily life is both practical and magical. When I teach classes, not only do I share techniques, I also teach how to weave magic into the mundane in an effort to improve life. I love gathering with groups and cooking together because as a community we can expand feelings of joy and connection while developing confidence and skills.
