Special Olympics WA – Athletics Training Program – Term 1, 2025
Who:
Special Olympics is a global movement that provides sports programs for people with intellectual disabilities. Our programs focus on inclusion, building confidence, and creating opportunities for athletes to develop skills, make friends, and have fun in a supportive environment.
This program is for people with intellectual disabilities who love athletics and want to improve their running, jumping, and throwing skills while having fun.
What:
A 7-week athletics training program! Join us to practice different athletics skills, stay active, and train in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
When:
- Every Wednesday for 7 weeks
- Starts on Wednesday, 5 February, and ends on Wednesday, 19 March
- Time: 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Note: The term will conclude early due to venue maintenance.
Where:
Langford Oval
Langford Ave, Langford, WA 6147
Why:
To improve athletics skills, build fitness, and enjoy being part of a fun and supportive community.
How Much:
$56 for 7 weeks ($8 per session).
What to Bring:
- Wear comfortable athletic clothing and running shoes.
- Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
- Any personal equipment you may require, such as throwing aids.
