Speechie Library Talks
Event description
Do you have a child between 0 - 5 years old? Would you like to help develop their language and literacy skills? Speech pathologists work together with children and families to help to build the foundations on which early literacy skills develop and help support a healthy transition into literacy.
Meet your local speech pathologist Carmen Hunter at Emu Park Library after 0-5's Library Time and enjoy a reading of one of the Speech Pathology Australia’s 2023 Book of the Year winning books and find out more about how you can support your child’s language and literacy development at home
In November, the Speech Pathology Association’s members go out to local Australian libraries to share their knowledge about the role of speech pathologists in language and literacy development for 0 to 5 year old’s, as well as information about what you can do at home, through a presentation and demonstrated book reading of one of the winning books from the Speech Pathology Australia Book of the Year Awards.
