Spoon Carving Workshop | Maleny Wood Expo 2024

In this intimate 1 day workshop, led by Lexie Farrell, you will learn how to carve your very own spoon from a pre-cut seasoned blank! Perfect for beginners, with no experience necessary- you’ll learn about safe carving techniques, a range of hand tools, creative process and design, grain direction and finishing your piece. 

Come along! Have a laugh with Lexie, learn some delightful new skills and maybe even discover your new favourite pastime! Spoon Carving has so much to offer, there is nothing quite like getting lost in the simplicity, pace and creative flow of a good carve!

Cost: $160 INCLUDES MALENY WOOD EXPO 3 DAY PASS

ABOUT LEXIE FARRELL

Lexie Farrell is a local wood carver on the Sunshine Coast who specialises in functional art pieces in the form of utensils. Lexie runs intimate carving workshops and is incredibly passionate about designing and carving pieces and the creative process. She enjoys sharing her love of carving with others and facilitating a space where participants can feel safe and confident to tap into their own unique, creative expression.
