Friends of Wamboin Crown Reserve

We are a group of local people whose vision is for Wamboin Crown Reserve to be protected from adverse impacts and recognised by the community as an icon of biodiversity in Wamboin.

Aims

The Friends of Wamboin Crown Reserve is a not-for-profit group dedicated to conserving and promoting the environmental and cultural values of Wamboin Crown Reserve.

Our aims are to:

• encourage interest in and develop knowledge and understanding of the natural, cultural,

recreational, scientific, educational and aesthetic values of Wamboin Crown Reserve

• populate a database of the Reserve’s biodiversity and cultural values

• promote its uniqueness within and beyond the Wamboin region

• encourage the use and enjoyment of the Reserve by the community in ways which are

consistent with the maintenance and enhancement of the Reserve’s natural and cultural

heritage values

• cooperate with local government and state government agencies as well as interested groups

in the ecologically sustainable management of the Reserve.
