The St Louis Shag is another great partnered swing dance, derived from the Charleston. The style originates in Missouri USA, where the southern tradition of jump music and boogie-woogie music was prevalent and popular.
The St Louis Shag is commonly danced to music with a fast tempo, making this style a good choice for a social and party atmosphere.
Chrissy & Ray will be sharing their passion for St Louis Shag in this workshop. A wonderful and fun dance that everyone should have as part of their repertoire. Chrissy & Ray are part of the fabric of the Australian swing dance scene and been part of it from the start. Great friends of Frankie Manning, they have been sharing this dance we love on the Gold Coast for years under their banner of SWING On In. So much teaching experience and passion for the community and the dance. They have a super relaxed and chilled teaching style so come and be part of this really unique offering.

10.15am - 1.15pm Learning and dancing St Louis Shag ... with a couple of rest/drink/refueling breaks along the way.
