Always wanted to learn how to sew? Now is your chance! Dust off your machine or use one of ours.
In this series of workshops, facilitator Sandra Marson will share with you her skills and passion for sewing. That passion was passed down to her as a child by her grandmother and now it's your turn to learn!
Sandra will assist you to understand machine use safety, basic machine maintenance, basic modifications to clothes, how to shorten new jeans, how to replace a button, how take up a dress hem and how to repairing clothes with small damage. Learn, have fun and save money by learning how to make basic repairs to clothing yourself.
After the workshop, why not volunteer at our fortnightly Repair Cafe at MakerSpace and in other local communities and keep the cobwebs away from your machine!
