Storytelling as Therapy
Event description
From cave walls and campfires to theatres and dinner tables, humans have told stories throughout millennia to make sense of the world and who we are.
In today’s setting, where the digital age can dilute or obscure the human experience, it’s more important than ever to understand and harness the restorative power of storytelling.
Join our Storytelling as Therapy Masterclass with the editor of Dumbo Feather magazine Nathan Scolaro to discover:
- How to collect your life story ideas through reflection
- How to use narrative arcs to craft your own story
- How to tell your story in an empowering and memorable way
Whether it's a poignant story of loss, a fast-paced thriller or a comedy of errors, you'll learn to craft your story and deliver it in a way that leaves you feeling invigorated and empowered.
“Stories are the only enchantment possible, for when we begin to see our suffering as a story, we are saved.” – Anaïs Nin
Masterclass spaces are strictly limited.

He hails from Western Australia, where he first experienced the joy of putting together a magazine, and now indulges his love of thoughtful, life-giving storytelling by helping bring Dumbo Feather to life once a quarter.
