Qtopia Sydney is a welcoming and inclusive space devoted to the memory, education and celebration of the unique histories and lived experiences of the LGBTQIA+ community. We deliver stories through exhibitions, performances and education. Visit out exhibition spaces to join the story.

Qtopia Sydney is located at 301 Forbes Street Darlinghurst.

We are located in the heart of the Darlinghurst Cultural Hub, just a few steps from Oxford Street.

The Bandstand is a Live at Qtopia Sydney venue and open for performances and cultural events only.

Sundays Come Free, Courtesy of the City of Sydney Council 

We’re delighted to announce that the City of Sydney Council has unanimously agreed to provide free admission to Qtopia Sydney on Sundays for 12 months.

Sundays come free at Qtopia Sydney, courtesy of the City of Sydney Council, allowing more people to hear the stories of the LGBTQIA+ community, paving the way for inclusion and acceptance.

Thank you to Lord Mayor Clover Moore and her fellow Councillors for their consistent commitment to our vision and their contribution to the Queer community.

Getting Here:

Qtopia Sydney is located close to Sydney’s CBD, with multiple options for public transport.

The following bus lines stop near Qtopia Sydney – 200, 311, 333, 396, 440.

From Kings Cross Station, the walk to Qtopia Sydney takes approximately 12 minutes. Museum Station is approximately 15 mins walk.

Street parking is largely ticketed. Parking is available in St Vincent’s Hospital car park (approx. 5 mins walk from Forbes Street). Wilson Carpark at 70 Riley Street is approximately a 10 min walk from Qtopia Sydney.
