Get ready for an exciting, hands-on science workshop these school holidays. If your child is curious about chemistry, this half-day workshop, run by the University of Newcastle's SMART Program, is just for them!

⚡Plasma globe - find out what stars are made of and see plasma switch on a light bulb!
🔥Thermal camera - discover the unseen waves of energy emitted from our bodies!
🦷 Elephant’s Toothpaste - watch an explosive chemical reaction which makes fantastic "toothpaste" for an elephant!
Our exploration stations will give your child the opportunity for hands on science fun and creativity to ignite your child’s passion for science featuring:

Host: The University of Newcastle's SMART Program in partnership with Lake Mac Libraries
Date: Thursday
Time:
Session 1: 10:30am- 12:00pm
OR
Session 2: 12:30pm- 2:00pm
Location: Rathmines Theatre, Dorrington Road and Stilling Street Intersection, Rathmines 2283 View in Google Maps
Who: Primary school aged children. All children must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Cost: $10 per child, $5 per adult. Accompanying adults are also required to purchase a ticket.
