Description

Understanding a new baby’s process of going from womb to walking in the first year can be confusing and stressful. With so much information and pressure coming from many directions around a baby needing to achieve milestones, having a clear understanding of how we can best support our little ones in this important fundamental time of their lives can really help parents settle into the joy of relating and caring for baby in this time.

This is a workshop for pregnant parents, parents of babies under 4 months of age and caregivers. It is designed to empower parents to understand and trust in their baby’s natural developmental movement progression. They will come away with a clear understanding of where their responsibilities lie as parents as well as tools to help them engage with, hold and handle their baby in a way that will help enable baby in their progress of developmental movement in the most integrated and resourced way.

Time: 1pm-3:30pm

Date: Saturday 14th February 2026

Where: Denmark Yoga Centre - 4/39 Strickland St, Denmark WA

Who: Expecting parents, parents in pre-conception, parents with babies 0-4 months old and their caregivers.

Price: FREE

* There is also another workshop happening in Albany on the 11th Feb see LINK for tickets *

I would highly encourage each mother/ parent to bring another support adult to learn alongside them and support with baby- ideally this is the other parent, but when not possible another relative or friend would work.

You will be provided with a handout to take home with the main take-aways for easy referencing in the months to come.

Light morning/afternoon tea provided.

Topics covered will include:

  • Why these first months of movement are so important

  • The Foundations of Baby’s Movement (Safety, Orientation, Comfort, Bonding and Curiosity)

  • Baby ‘Handling’ (Picking up and putting down, orientating to all 4 sides, we are Baby’s first Earth)

  • Flexion and Extension Cycling and Baby Ball Position

  • How to approach ‘Propping’

Bookings essential. Limited spaces available.
