Event description
We are looking forward to this new workshop and invite all OSHC educators and staff to attend.
This essential workshop will explore the importance of social and emotional development as the foundation of a child's learning and unpack many practical ideas of how educators in OSHC can support and plan for children's social and emotional wellbeing.
During this workshop we will unpack some of the key elements in My Time Our Place (Version 2) to support the importance of social and emotional development in all children. This will allow participants to further understand Version 2 of MTOP and how the curriculum leads our practice (including principles and practices as well as learning outcomes)
Supporting children's resilience, developing embedded practices that support attachment and positive brain development, role of educators in developing positive mental health and wellbeing how to build effective partnerships with families, professionals and community will be part of this workshop.
Of course, we will have the opportunity to share participants own ideas of what they are currently doing within their services to support children's social and emotional wellbeing.
Links to MTOP, NQS, Rights of the Child, Child Safe standards and Code of Ethics will be referenced and explored at each stage of the workshop.
