Event description

Young people with disabilities may require specialised teaching strategies when learning about puberty, sexuality and relationships.

This workshop provides practical information for parents, teachers and support workers to help young people understand puberty, and to help them manage this life stage with confidence.

Topics covered in this workshop include:

  • Public and private concepts
  • Body changes
  • Hygiene
  • Menstrual management
  • Masturbation
  • Sexual Health
  • Healthy Relationships

Our workshops are for parents, carers, students, teachers and health professionals. There is a limit of 3 participants from the same organisation.

This is a full day workshop with catering provided for morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea. Please bring your own water bottle.

*Please note: Due to new community mandates, all participants must provide proof of COVID vaccination in order to attend our workshops. Please bring this with you on the day of the workshop.
