Event description

Do bright lights, loud noises, or overwhelming textures leave you drained or stressed?

We are excited to invite you to a supportive group session focused on understanding and addressing sensory sensitivities. Led by a neurodivergent therapist with lived experience and professional expertise, this session offers a safe and empathetic space. You'll gain valuable insights and practical tools to navigate sensory sensitivities, helping you or your loved ones feel more in control and calmer in your daily lives.

This support group is facilitated by Yenn Purkis, Autistic and non-binary Author, Advocate, Blogger, TEDx speaker and cat lover.

What you’ll get out of this session:

  • Understand your sensory profile by gaining insights into your unique preferences and sensitivities
  • Learn how sensory input affects your emotions, focus and wellbeing
  • Discover personalised techniques to manage sensory sensitivities and home, work and in social situations
  • Learn how to communicate your sensory needs effectively with others
  • Build confidence in creating environments that support your sensory wellbeing through peer support and connection
