Sustainable Government Procurement: Why It Matters For Businesses?
Event description
Do you know how the Government's buying decisions could impact your business?
The Government Procurement rules lack clear and measurable sustainability commitments. With changes on the table, it's time for your business to push for change.
Eco Choice Aotearoa is holding an in-person event to help Kiwi businesses influence the rules. We'll walk you through the issues you need to be aware of and provide guidance if you wish to make a submission on the issue.

Why Government Procurement Matters To Your Business
Did you know that government procurement in New Zealand is worth NZD$51.5 billion each year? That's 20% of our GDP. It’s a hugely powerful lever for transitioning New Zealand to a low-emissions, circular economy and ensuring a thriving environment for future generations.
The government is currently consulting on its newly proposed Procurement Rules, offering a unique opportunity to advocate for the explicit inclusion of specific and tangible sustainable practices.
This isn't a public sector box-ticking seminar. It’s a strategic insight session designed for businesses that want to stay ahead, meet rising sustainability expectations, and tap into billions in government spending.
Whether you're in construction, manufacturing, tech, logistics or supply chain, if the Government is a client or could be, you can't afford to sit this one out.
