• How do I receive the voucher, and can I print it as a physical gift?

  Once you receive the completed pass in your inbox, you can simply forward the high-resolution image via text/messenger straight to their phone, or print it out on standard A4 paper to slide inside a birthday card!

• How does the lucky person book their stargazing date?

• What is your cancellation and refund policy?

  • Voucher Purchases: Gift vouchers are non-refundable for cash once purchased, but they carry a generous 3-year validity period. This gives your recipient plenty of time to choose the absolute perfect, clear night to visit.

  • Fully Transferable: If the recipient's plans change, they are welcome to pass their voucher along to a friend or family member to enjoy!

  • What if it is cloudy on their chosen night? Our tours are weather-dependent, and our astronomer makes an official weather call 24 hours before a session. If a session is cancelled due to cloud cover, your gift value is never lost! The recipient's voucher code will simply be unlocked, allowing them to jump right back onto our calendar to book the next available clear night.

• What happens if it is cloudy or raining on the night they choose?

  • The Official Weather Call: Our astronomer makes a definitive weather call 24 hours before a session kicks off.

  • The Recipient Is Notified: The voucher recipient will receive an SMS and email updating them with a GO or NO GO.

  What happens if their chosen night is a NO GO?

  • Completely Cloud-Proof: If a session is cancelled due to cloud cover, rain, or high wind thresholds, your gift is not lost!

  • Easy Rescheduling: The recipient's ticket will simply be unlocked, allowing them to jump right back onto our calendar and book the very next clear night that suits them.

  • Please note: Because gift vouchers are open-dated and valid for 3 full years, cancellations trigger an automatic reschedule credit rather than a cash refund to the buyer.

• What to wear to the observatory?

  🧥 Clothing & Preparation

  • River Murray nights can get very cold.

  • The telescope area features a rolling roof.

  • This means you are exposed to outdoor temperatures.

  • Dress in warm layers.

  • Wear enclosed, comfortable walking shoes.

  • Bring a warm beanie, jacket, and gloves.

• What is "Red Light Etiquette"?

  • White light instantly destroys human night vision.

  • It takes 30 minutes for eyes to readjust.

  • Please do not use white phone screens outside.

  • No white flashlights or camera flashes allowed.

  • Only use red-light torches on the walkways.

  • Dim your smartphone screens to the absolute minimum.

• Where do we park?

  • We have a spacious, fully sealed parking lot.

  • Parking is free for all ticket holders.

  • The lot easily accommodates large coaches and buses.

  • Please arrive 15 minutes before your session starts.

• Can I take photos during the tour?

  • Yes, absolutely! We love seeing you capture and share your adventure as you reach for the stars.

  • Strictly no flash: Flash photography is banned on site to protect everyone's night vision.
