Sydney Waterways Roundtable 2027
Description

Would you like to see meaningful action from NSW Government to improve and protect Sydney's vital waterways?
This is your chance to help advocate for river and wetland health, resilience and long-term management directly with decisionmakers in the lead-up to the 2027 NSW State Election.
Join us for the Sydney Waterways Roundtable 2027.
Join forces with community leaders, environmental organisations and researchers from across Sydney's major river catchments, to demand action on the three key priorities identified by community members during the 2026 Sydney Rivers Community Forum:
Better governance and coordination of waterway management
Improved stormwater management and water quality outcomes
Stronger protection and restoration of wetlands
The roundtable will provide an opportunity for state politicians to directly hear these community priorities, outline their policy positions, and make commitments ahead of the 2027 NSW State Election.
This event is free, open to the public, and anyone with an interest in Sydney's waterways is encouraged to attend. It will offer a valuable opportunity to engage with issues that affect millions of people and some of Sydney's most important environmental, cultural, recreational and economic assets.
This will be our best opportunity to achieve change for Sydney's waterways in the lead-up to the 2027 NSW State Election, and we need your help to show politicians that the people of Sydney want action.
Date: Tuesday 9 February 2027.
Time: 6:30 – 7:30pm (doors open 6 – 8pm).
