Event description

Everyone deserves a good life. For people with disability, achieving it often requires clear vision, thoughtful planning, and the right supports.

Join Community Resource Unit (CRU) and Outback Independent Living for this free workshop designed for people with disability, families, and anyone who supports them.

What you’ll learn:

  • What a “good life” looks like for people with disability

  • Why having a positive vision matters – and how to create one

  • How the history of disability in Australia shapes our world today

  • The value of “ordinary and typical” community opportunities

  • How to balance informal and formal supports

  • How families can use their natural authority

  • Practical strategies to “bring others in” and create lasting support networks
