Join us for the launch of "Tapestries of a Kingdom", an evocative novel that weaves a tale of trauma, memory, and queer identity within a lush, Southeast Asian-inspired fantasy world.Our debut Thai-Australian author Michele Gould will share select passages in a live reading, followed by an engaging Q&A session of her inspiration and writing process.

There will be a QR code available to order the book online.

About the Author: 
Michele Gould, a Thai-Australian writer, composer, and performer, trained in Musical Theatre at WAAPA.
She debuted her first original musical "PASSING" at Fringe World Perth 2021 and launched her next project, "107," at The Blue Room Theatre in 2022. Michele has also attended esteemed workshops like ATYP’s National Studio and APRA AMCOS's Musical Theatre SongHubs. Beyond her writing and performing roles,
she's served as a creative associate and a swing on notable productions. Off-stage, you can find Michele playing in the fantastical realms of Dungeons and Dragons.

As Australia’s first dedicated Queer History, Art and Culture museum, Qtopia Sydney is proud to launch Live at the Bandstand, its debut season of live activations in the museum space.

Multi-genre in its programming, the Live at the Bandstand program will feature comedy, cabaret, Drag, talks, book launches, live podcast recordings, script readings, small theatre performances, short films, music and more.

Join us for a night of intimate performance and conversation at the Bandstand and celebrate some of the best of Sydney's Queer Cultural scene.
