Event description

This is an invitation to pause, savour and flow with the changing seasons into Autumn, the Time of Marrai'gang (D'harawal seasons).

We are interlinked with Nature, and her Seasons are ours. May we find sanctuary in this connection through the meditative process of a mindful tea session.

.

The curls of steam, the sound of water boiling. The scent of incense. The gentle pace of the infusion. The aromas and flavours of hand-picked leaves that build and evolve with each steep.

Join us for an introduction to the art of Gong Fu Cha, a traditional Chinese tea brewing method that emphasises our connection to Nature, and appreciation of tea.

Sample carefully curated teas as you share a slow, meditative cup and embark on a journey of tranquillity and sensory awakening.

Rest and reconnect with this warming, heart-centred meditation.

Tea is an offering. An invitation. A welcome. A language without words.

The leaf is a connection. To Nature. To Community. To Self.

.

Begin by resting in sound with Nepalese singing bowls.

Pause. Be guided through the 5 senses to ease the body.

Sight, sound, smell, touch. And with tea, the final sensory grounding of taste.

Nourish. Explore warming teas matched with the changing seasons using the ritual of Gong Fu Cha brewing.

The blossoming of the leaf is savoured slowly. Small vessels are used to mindfully imbibe scent, colour, texture, sound and flavour.

Trace the journey of the leaf: a restful pause for both the body and mind.

Gently cultivate your connection and flow into the Seasons. Close with gentle discourse, for what is tea but an offering to share?
