Teacher Professional Learning: Rethinking Art: Designing for Inclusion

Join artist Shan Michaels in a workshop exploring soft sculpture and textile production with a focus on creating works for people with disabilities, including sensory impairments and those who are blind or with low vision. Connect your new knowledge and skills to industry practices with a behind-the-scenes preview of the installation and exhibition of work by Shan with Adelaide Contemporary Experimental. 

A certificate of professional learning will be provided. This professional learning workshop will support you in demonstrating the following AITSL Australian Professional Standards for Teacher: 2.1 3.2, 4.1, 6.2, 6.3, 7.1, 7.4. 

This Teacher Professional Learning is a Carclew in Schools initiative and is presented in partnership with Adelaide Contemporary Experimental and Visual Arts Educators Association South Australia.  

Carclew in Schools is supported by the South Australian Government through the Department for Education. Programs are generously subsided for government primary schools.
