The Story of The Hidden Gardens
Join our Chief Executive Mahri Reilly for a heritage talk exploring the history, design and evolving legacy of The Hidden Gardens. From its origins on the site of Glasgow’s former Tramworks to its transformation into a thriving, biodiverse green space, discover the story of this distinctive place and the vision that brought it to life.
Created by NVA in 2003, The Hidden Gardens was conceived as a space for peace, reflection and connection, bringing together nature, arts and community in the heart of Glasgow. Now in its 23rd year, The Gardens continue to grow as a charitable trust, providing a welcoming space for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. Together, we’ll reflect on the heritage we have inherited, the meaning held within the gardens’ design, and what it means to be stewards of this unique space, protecting its legacy while nurturing its future for generations to come.
The Hidden Gardens is committed to creating welcoming spaces for everyone. If there are any accessibility adjustments we can make to support your attendance, please just get in touch.
