About the Session
In this session, we will focus on creating strong Objectives to prove the technical and commercial feasibility of the research being proposed. The Technical Objectives will also have questions designed to be answered by tasks outlined in the work plan. This session will focus on the National Science Foundation/Department of Energy/US Department of Agriculture/National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration requirements for developing technical objectives.
In this session, you'll learn:
Strong technical objectives are ‘mini’ goals within the proposed work plan.
Objectives are written keeping the Agency’s mission in mind and are not tasks.
Objectives are designed to reduce technical risk and provides a clear approach to be executed once an award is made. They also include milestones and metrics.
