Startup Weekend Perth #19 2023

Startup Weekend is a 54-hour whirlwind event where you get to be part of building a business in a weekend, Silicon Valley-style. It's about pitching, business model creation, prototyping, designing and market validation all in a friendly and supportive team environment.

How does the weekend work?

• Friday - We kick off with some networking, before inviting anyone with an idea to 'pitch' it back to the audience. Everyone votes on the top ideas, and teams organically form. 
• Saturday & Sunday - Teams work on this new idea, and experience the highs and lows of startup life as they try and build something from the ground up. We throw in a heap of caffeine and food - and see what ideas come out the other end!
• Sunday Night - Pitch time! Teams share their ideas and a winning team is crowned, and prizes are awarded.

Who can attend?
Anyone. Whether you're 18 or 88, a painter, actor, software engineer, writer, graphic designer, geek, entrepreneur, photographer, musician, programmer, museum curator, or startup specialist. Whether you have an idea, or have no idea. Everyone is welcome.

What will I get out of it?
The professional and personal challenges, the high and lows, the failures and the success. 

What does my ticket include?
An awesome weekend with great mentors and facilitation, Friday night dinner and network, all your meals and snacks on Saturday and Sunday - and a pitch event on Sunday evening with drinks and network - all included!

Startup Weekend is a global grassroots movement of active and empowered citizens who are learning the basics of founding startups and launching successful ventures or products.
