Tending to Our Selves

Event description

‘Tending to Our Selves’ is a human centred reframe of the ‘self care’ ideology that many of us feel the pressure of keeping up with.

The seemingly endless encouragement (no matter how well meaning) to up level, transcend, develop, overcome, heal, and achieve successes can sometimes overshadow the truth that humans are complicated, we feel pain, we hurt, we live best in cycles and seasons, and we are in no rush.

It’s ok to move gently, and to not aim for a finishing line. It’s ok to tend to ourselves, to exactly who we are in this moment, rather than try to ‘better ourselves’.

Tending To Our Selves.

An act of self-respect, deep acceptance and honest nurturing.

‘Tending To Our Selves’ is a full-day workshop that creates space for us to tend to the most fragile parts of ourselves in a way that soothes, and reconnect with the parts of ourselves we may have forgotten in a way that rekindles relationship to self. We will remember who we are, and witness each other do the same.

Throughout this workshop we will journey in meditation, experience voice work and group singing, take up physical space, soothe ourselves with lullaby and connect with our inner voices.

By coming together in this ceremonial container we expand our capacity to bear witness to ourselves and each other, in all our humanly truths. We remember who we are in this moment, we love and connect with that version of us and we tend to her needs fully and without shame or intent to ‘fix’.

There are parts inside all of us that feel alone, tired, and not seen.

‘Tending To Our Selves’ will allow us to hold those parts.

And nurture them. And celebrate them!
