This live course has finished and is now available as an e-course.

There is an option to do only one session with the purchase of a trial ticket.  

A 5-session workshop in which students learn strategies to approach and solve Australasian Olympiad-style questions. It teaches major problem-solving strategies and strengthens students’ mathematical intuition.

The main aims of the program are to:

Introduce students to important mathematical concepts.
Teach major strategies and develop flexibility for problem-solving.
Foster creativity and ingenuity and strengthen intuition.
Stimulate enthusiasm and enjoyment of mathematics.
Provide for the satisfaction, joy and thrill of meeting challenges.

Mrs Felicity Segel will be covering some of the following over the 6 lessons:

Numbers
Fractions and Decimals
Patterns
Algebra
Money and Financial Mathematics
Measurement
Shape
Location and Transformation
Geometric Reasoning
Chance
Data Representation and Interpretation


ABOUT FELICITY SEGEL

    Felicity is a Primary School Educator who has worked with high-potential learners as a teacher, facilitator and leader for more than 25 years.  In her leadership role as Deputy Head of a Private Independent School, she established programs, supported teachers, and facilitated learning opportunities for gifted students across K-6.

    More recently, she has been involved with students keen to enter a selective stream or alternatively improve their academic standing in a school setting. Felicity is motivated and enthusiastic about the work she does to support students in developing and achieving their potential. Instruction has a strong academic focus where curiosity is encouraged to facilitate intrinsic motivation and develop independent learners.

    This course will captivate students with a thirst for problem-solving, strategies and deeper learning.

    Refund policy

    If a learner has not started a course and cannot attend it or there are not sufficient students to run the course, a credit will be issued for the next time that course will be run.
