The April Family Album Launch – Baby, I’m Gone
Event description
The April Family are a Sydney based alt-country band founded by Kylie Whitney, Michael Carpenter and Casey Atkins. The trio released their first album, 'What We Know Now' in 2016 and followed up with 'House of Cards' in 2019. They are now set to release their long awaited third album 'Baby, I’m Gone' on 27th September. The album ties together a string of original singles, including the August 8th release of 'I’m Only Sad' Featuring Golden Guitar nominees Michael Carpenter and the Banks Brothers.
The April Family are excited to launch the album live at the iconic Petersham Bowling Club. This will be the band's only Sydney show for the launch before hitting the road to Tamworth Country Music Festival 2025 so don't miss out, tickets on sale now.
Supporting the launch of 'Baby I'm Gone' is South Australian singer songwriter Abbie Ferris. Abbie is described as a true blue country girl! Her latest sassy single 'That Ain’t You' was released on 2nd August, written in Nashville and produced by The April Family’s own Michael Carpenter.
Sydney songwriter Holy Beard will open the night. Holy is an emerging Indie/ Folk artist from the Blue Mountains. Her melodies paired with vulnerable and poetic lyrics perfectly encapsulate Holy's self identified 'Melancholy Folk' sound. With her first single 'Moon Song' out and second single 'September' coming soon.
Don’t miss this night of original music at the PBC.
