Event description
This event is now SOLD OUT. Click HERE to reserve your place for February 12th 2025, or 20th March 2025.
The Art of Confident Leadership - straightforward, no-fluff training for leaders who want to lead better.
TEN THINGS YOU'LL GET FROM THIS PRACTICAL, EASY-TO-UNDERSTAND TRAINING:
1. You'll learn what your leadership style is - NOT to pigeon hole you, but to uncover the natural biases that are creating leadership blind spots that are compromising your ability to effectively communicate, motivate, clarify expectations and resolve issues. Buy understanding these blocks that are unintentionally jeopardising your leadership, you will then learn how to address them - and make leadership so much easier.
2. You’ll learn how to get your staff to embrace change, instead of always resisting it.
3. You’ll learn the four-step approach to managing staff who push back.
4. You’ll discover that not all values are good - and identify which ones are sabotaging you without even realising (before replacing them with ones that will help you nail this leadership gig).
5. You’ll learn (without blame or judgement) which of your unintentional behaviours are sabotaging you, and how to swap them for much easier behaviours that help you lead well, and inspire the people around you to raise their own behaviour bar as well.
6. You’ll learn that some of your skills are hurting your leadership, not helping it - skills like expert level avoidance, people pleasing, procrastinating and/or overthinking etc and how to start building skills that will make you an amazing leader who's doing less, but achieving more.
7. You’ll create a plan for how to move forward, NOT one that’s filled with meaningless fluffy stuff, but really great, achievable things that feel easy, yet create huge change.
8. We'll have an informal mastermind session as there will be some incredible wisdom in the room. You'll be invited to share a challenge you're experiencing (optional) and then together we'll all share how we've managed the same issue and throw around ideas so you leave knowing exactly what to do.
9. You'll get a link to book a one-hour, one2one, confidential coaching session with your trainer - Leanne Shaw which will be really helpful if you'd like some extra support to better understand any of the training material and how use it in your own workplace. This can happen in person (in Bunbury) via Teams or Zoom, or even over the phone. This session is optional and complementary.
10. You'll meet some amazing, like-minded leaders, who, just like you, are good people wanting to learn how to lead better.
This training is limited to 12 participants and includes:
- Easy to understand leadership education that's practical and easy-to-understand
- Refreshments and lunch (in accordance with your dietary requirements)
- Workbook
Please email Leanne Shaw to discuss having this training delivered exclusively for your team.
Feedback from past participants of this training:
“What I really valued about this training was that it came with strategies that I can actually use, not just the usual delivery of leadership stuff that sounds good but is completely unrealistic in a real world sense. Thanks for breaking things down for me Leanne.” SP - Local Govt.
“I have been to more leadership training than I can count over the past 20 years, but I have never been to anything like this.” Rod Jenkins (Perth)
"I run my own business and found that I couldn't place expectations on my staff because no matter how I said it, I always managed to upset someone. This training was so helpful because I learned how to completely 180 my communication and raise the bar without raising people's emotions. If you are managing a team that's making you pull your hair out, you need to get along to this. The value far exceeds the ticket price". Jennifer. P. (Perth Cafe Owner)
"I was lucky enough to have my manager book me into the "Art of Confident Leadership training". It was a really well run course, with Leanne providing an amazing learning environment. It was ran at an excellent pace and well delivered. The subject matter was very relevant and I am already using many aspects of the training on a daily basis. Would recommend this course to anyone wanting to take their leadership to the next level, thanks again Leanne." - Steve Wharton (TADWA)
“I don’t think my team will be the only ones thanking you, I reckon my wife will be sending you a Christmas card too!” Paul. W. (Busselton)
"As a manager, I found it really hard to give feedback to staff about their work because I didn't want to upset anyone, so I just filled in the gaps myself. Since doing this training, I have learned how to change that - and the benefits have been two-fold. My staff are stepping up and taking a lot more ownership of their work because I have learned how to give them really good feedback and the second benefit is that I have freed up a huge amount of time which means I'm able to get my own work done. This training has also had a massively positive impact on how I interact with my partner." - Amanda. C - NFP (Mandurah).
