The Art of Shibari
Description
The Art of Shibari
Where rope becomes a language for trust, communication and connection.
One Rope. Infinite Possibilities.
Rope Rendezvous | Byron Edition
Saturday 9 August
Aureus Art Studio
Following the beautiful response to An Evening Entwined at Aureus Art Studio, one question kept coming up:
“When can we learn?”
We’re delighted to say… we’ve listened.
Join Amber Ella-Vatrix and Marcus, in collaboration with Brendan and Carolina from Aureus Art Studio, for the very first Rope Rendezvous | Byron Edition.
This special four-hour immersive workshop is designed to show that you don’t need complicated patterns or an armful of rope to begin exploring this beautiful art form.
With just one rope, you’ll discover how simple techniques can become a foundation for creativity, communication and connection.
Our approach to Shibari goes beyond learning knots.
We see rope as a language.
A language that invites presence, encourages clear communication, builds trust, and creates moments of genuine connection.
Whether you’re joining with a partner or attending on your own, this workshop has been designed to make Shibari feel welcoming, accessible and deeply rewarding.
What You’ll Learn
Together we’ll explore:
• Rope safety and essential foundations
• Rope handling and knot confidence
• Beginner-friendly Ichinawa (one-rope) ties
• How one rope can create a surprising variety of beautiful and functional ties
• Consent, communication and partner awareness
• Creating trust through tension, movement and touch
• Principles that allow you to continue building your rope practice with confidence
No previous experience is required.
