The Examen: The 5 steps, the 5 R's, the Ignatian 4 C's
Event description
Professional DayÂ
Cost: $40 includes lunchÂ
The powerfully transformative art of spiritual conversation passed on by Ignatius Loyola is as meaningful for our relationships with one another and with God as it was for Ignatius and the first companions. It is a style of interacting and relating that opens the door to recognizing both the common and ground of our deepest desires. Ignatian spiritual conversation extends the gift of our call to spiritual direction beyond the ways and places we currently offer it.

Presenter Sister Odessa Stanford, SFCC
Odessa Stanford, SFCC. is a convert to Catholicism because she experienced Jesus as the Living Christ when she began attending mass with her students at Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart of Houston. In 1994, she decided to accept Jesus' invitation to come and see. She then was introduced to spiritual direction under the auspices of the Religious of the Sacred Heart (RSCJ) and the Cenacle Sisters Retreat Center. Her spiritual journey led her to confirmation in the Church in 1995. After years of continued spiritual direction and faith building within her parish community at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Sister Odessa went on to profess vows with the Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament Congregation in 2007. After which, she focused on what her ministerial religious formation would be, and in 2009 became a spiritual director. Sister Odessa made her final profession of vow commitment as a Sister for Christian Community.Â
