Once upon a time, in Imperial Russia, there was a government that was both corrupt and incompetent: everything from pork barrelling, bribery, embezzlement and police brutality. Having grown fat on the spoils of their ill-gotten gains, the bureaucrats of a small provincial town are suddenly thrown into chaos by some unexpected news: a government inspector is coming to town.

A blistering and hilarious satire on political corruption, this new adaptation of Nikolai Gogol’s timeless masterpiece is presented in a bold, Australian voice.

Directed and adapted by Alex Kendall Robson, with a cast featuring Lib Campbell, Shaw Cameron, Jade Fuda, Zachary Aleksander, Raechyl French, Jack Elliot Mitchell, Sonya Kerr, Andrew Eddey, Hannah Buckley, Harrison Collis Oates, Mitchell Frederick Stewart and Zachary Bandiera-Dunn.
